Seeing is Believing

Jesus and the children stained glass windowIn the Leamon Rogers Memorial Chapel at Boys and Girls Homes, one of the stained glass windows shows Jesus surrounded by several children. The verse inspiring this window comes from Matthew 19:14:

“But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” (KJV)

Our children find safety and love when they come to us in Lake Waccamaw. They experience positive and life-altering changes to their lives that will endure for all their days.

To fully understand the breadth and depth of the impact of our work, you must see this place!

Visit our campus. See our children and young people living on a beautiful campus totally dedicated to their well-being and welfare. Listen to them talk about their hopes and dreams. Witness their eyes dancing as they describe their plans for a college education or trade. Listen to them describe the good life they envision will happen afterward.

And you will be changed.

My hope and prayer is that you would then join with us to offer hope and encouragement to young people who need us – and you – more than ever. I invite you to visit our campus, see the beauty of our stained glass Chapel windows, and witness the miracles that are our children.

Gary Greene is the Senior Development Director at Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina.

Schedule a visit.
