Job Opening: Foster Care Recruitment Coordinator for the Fayetteville Area

Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in any Human Services field. Certified MAPP-GPS trainer. Must be familiar with current clinical research practice. Three years experience working with emotionally and behaviorally disturbed youths and their families. Some prior experience with promotional work preferred.

Position requires extensive day and overnight travel to provide promotional programs to potential Foster Parent groups.

Job Opening: Teen Mom Co-Parent

Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina, Inc. is accepting applications for the position of TEEN MOM CO-PARENT for our B&GH Lake House - a Teen Mom & Baby Home. This position requires a high school diploma. This is an exciting LIVE-IN position for individuals with a desire to work with teenagers. You are educating and providing role models for young women and their babies.

This position requires two (2) LIVE-IN co-parents responsible for three (3) teen moms and their babies. Responsibilities will include: coordinating doctor visits, transporting to school, jobs, daycare, guidance with shopping, meal preparation, light housekeeping, teaching life skills, as well as other similar duties. There will be flexible time off between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. providing no appointments or travel are needed. You will have two weekends off each month. A rent-free apartment is included with this position.

Job Opening: Therapeutic Foster Care Consultant

Qualifications: Preference is for someone in Pender/Onslow County due to caseload. This position requires a BS or MS in any Human Services field. 2 years of direct supervision from a QP in mental health or substance abuse populations. Experience working with therapeutic foster parents.

Service Responsibilities: Must be able to demonstrate all the technical and program skills required of a therapeutic foster parent. Advanced technical writing skills, treatment planning and behavior analysis skills required. Will be teaching MAPP-GPS and TFC throughout the year. Extended work hours are necessary on occasion. Must provide 24 hours accessibility, including weekends and holidays during assigned times (pager provided). On-call responsibilities may include being on-call to assigned therapeutic foster parents, other program consultants and/or colleagues during their time off.
