Job Opening: Director of Civic Club Relations

Education: BS or BA from accredited college or university, Masters preferred.

Experience: Boys and Girls Homes has had a long, traditional history with civic organizations across North Carolina and beyond. The Director of Civic Club Relations is the primary liaison to these organizations and works to maintain and enhance these important relationships. This position will represent B&GH at district, regional, local and area civic club functions; make appropriate presentations as requested; and work closely with the Vice President for Development and the President/CEO on all matters relating to civic clubs.

Significant evening and weekend travel is required for this position. A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required. Membership in a civic organization and active civic involvement is preferred.

Job Opening: Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations

Boys and Girls Homes of NC is seeking a creative, energetic fundraising professional to fill the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations position. This position will further the mission of B&GH by seeking resources primarily through local and national grant-writing efforts. Corporate funding sources will be identified, cultivated and solicited through research proposal development and relationship management. The successful candidate will serve as an active member of the B&GH Development team and will assist with all fundraising efforts.

We are seeking an experienced professional with strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills that have the ability to apply creative reasoning and thinking to practical work situations. The proven ability to lead a national grant-writing effort and the ability to develop lasting and successful relationships with individuals, corporations and foundations are also important. There will be limited evening and weekend travel involved.

Candidates should have a BS/BA degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred) and at least three years successful experience in fundraising and grant-writing with emphasis on corporate and foundation relationship management.

Job Opening: Foster Care Consultant/Recruiter-Trainer for Lake Waccamaw Office

Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina, Inc. is accepting applications for the position of Foster Care Recruitment Coordinator for our Lake Waccamaw office in Columbus County. You will be working several counties counties including New Hanover.  This position requires a BSW. Must be certified to teach MAPP.  Experience working with DSS.   Three (3) years experience working with emotionally and behaviorally disturbed youths and their families. Experience in working with foster parents.  Must be able to demonstrate all the technical and program skills required of a foster parent.  Advanced technical writing skills, treatment planning and behavior analysis skills required.  Will be teaching MAPP-GPS throughout the year.  Extended work hours are necessary on occasion.  Must provide 24 hours accessibility, including weekends and holidays during assigned times (pager provided).  On-call responsibilities may include being on-call to assigned  foster parents, other program consultants and/or colleagues during their time off.   Exempt salaried position.  We offer an excellent benefit package.  EOE

Job Opening: Teen Mom Co-Parent

Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina, Inc. is accepting applications for the position of TEEN MOM CO-PARENT for our B&GH Lake House - a Teen Mom & Baby Home. This position requires a high school diploma. This is an exciting LIVE-IN position for individuals with a desire to work with teenagers. You are educating and providing role models for young women and their babies.

This position requires two (2) LIVE-IN co-parents responsible for three (3) teen moms and their babies. Responsibilities will include: coordinating doctor visits, transporting to school, jobs, daycare, guidance with shopping, meal preparation, light housekeeping, teaching life skills, as well as other similar duties. There will be flexible time off between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. providing no appointments or travel are needed. You will have two weekends off each month. A rent-free apartment is included with this position.
