Job Opening: CAC Child Medical Provider

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: North Carolina Board Certified License in the following: Medical Doctor (M.D.), Physician Assistant (P.A.), Nurse Family Practitioner (N.F.P.) and/or Nurse Practitioner (N.P.). Must be licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina. All degrees must be received from appropriate accredited institutions.

Experience: A minimum of two years experience working in a pediatric or primary care medical setting is required. Knowledge, experience and registered through NCCMEP to perform child abuse medical evaluations is preferred. If not registered through NCCMEP (North Carolina Child Medical Examination Program), must be willing to attend and successfully complete certification immediately upon employment, which will be support through our program.

Job Opening: CAC Therapist

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: This position requires a MSW in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited university. Must either be fully licensed or have provisional license in the State of North Carolina as one of the following: LCSW, LPC, LMFT or LPA. Must currently have Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Certification or willing to attend and successfully complete collaborative for Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which would be provided by our program.

Experience: Training and experience working with victims of trauma is preferred.

Knowledge, skill, and abilities preferred for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Guild child victims in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their trauma;
  • Provide evidence-based treatment for victims;
  • Refer child victims and non-offending family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs and clients' progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives;
  • Assisting in the interpretation of information obtained during the investigation process;
  • And prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Job Opening: Lake House Teen Mom Co-Parent

QUALIFICATIONS: Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina, Inc., is accepting applications for the position of the TEEN MOM CO-PARENTS for our Lake House - a Teen Mom & Baby Home. This position requires a high school diploma, but preference is for a BSW. Ability to handle teenagers with behavioral issues.

7 ON, 7 OFF SCHEDULE

This position will be responsible for 24 hour care for 3 teen moms and their babies. You will live in the house as a "foster parent", coordinating doctor visits, transporting to school, jobs, daycare, guidance with shopping and preparing meals as well as many other similar duties. You are educating and providing role models for the teen moms. This position is located on the Lake Waccamaw campus.
