Job Opening: Children's Advocacy Center Director/Forensic Interviewer

QUALIFICATIONS: Education: BSW in human services field. Prefer master's degree in mental health counseling, social work, psychology or a related field from an accredited university. Experience: Minimum of three years experience providing mental health treatment for child trauma victims; supervisory experience preferred

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The CAC Director leads the CAC in providing comprehensive services to child victims of abuse and their non-offending caregivers in conjunction with multi-disciplinary team made up of law enforcement, Forensic Interviewers, administration and agency partners. In addition to forensic evaluations, the Director oversees mental health services that are provided to victims and their families. The Director will also act as the Forensic Interviewer responsible for conducting forensic interviews of children with concerns of sexual abuse, severe physical abuse and witness to violence. This candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, in person and on the phone, particularly when working with and building rapport with distraught family members and multidisciplinary partners. The Director is responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of the center staff, policy implementation, program development, agency partnership and promotion, interagency collaboration, and financial planning and oversight of the operating budget. This position routinely interfaces with the Department of Social Services, law enforcement personnel and community stakeholders. The Director/Forensic Interviewer must have completed a nationally accredited child forensic interview training or willingness to be trained and successfully complete training.

Job Opening: Director of Civic Club Relations

Boys and Girls Homes of NC has enjoyed a long, traditional history with civic and service organizations across North Carolina and beyond. The Director of Civic Club Relations is the primary liaison to these organizations and works to maintain and enhance these important relationships. This positions will represent B&GH at district, regional, local and area civic club functions; make appropriate presentations as requested; and work closely with the Vice President for Development and the President/CEO on all matters relating to civic clubs. In addition to the civic club duties, this position will serve with a dedicated team and assist with various fundraising and resource development activities.

Significant evening and weekend travel is required for this position. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. Membership in a civic organization and active civic involvement is preferred.

Job Opening: Foster Care Licensing Worker for the New Hanover County Area

QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in any Human Services field. Certified MAPP-GPS trainer. Must be familiar with current clinical research and practice. Three years experience working with emotionally and behaviorally disturbed youths and their families. Some prior experience with promotional work preferred. WILL WORK OUT OF THE LAKE WACCAMAW OFFICE.

Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, Inc., is accepting applications for the position of Teen Mom Co-Parent for our B&GH L.A.K.E. House - a Teen Mom & Baby Home. This position requires a high school diploma. This is an exciting team LIVE_IN position for individuals with a desire to work with teenagers. You are educating and providing role models for young women and their babies.

This position requires an employee to be responsible for three (3) teen moms and their babies. Responsibilities will include: coordinating doctor visits, transporting to school, jobs, daycare, guidance with shopping, meal preparation, light housekeeping, teaching life skills, as well as other similar duties. A rent-free apartment is included with this position.
