Job Opening: CAC Mental Health Clinician

QUALIFICATIONS:  Education: Must have a Masters Degree in a Mental Health field of study through an accredited program. Must have obtained Licensure as a LCSW, LPC or have provisional license. Must be either Trauma Informed or willing to attend training for TF-CBT. A minimum of 2 years of mental health experience working with children, or related experience with social work. Experience working with victims of trauma.

POSITION DESCRIPION: Crisis assessment and intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning and support for children and family members at all stages of involvement with CK-CAC. Ability to work and make decisions independently. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Advance technical writing skills required. Completion of all required documentation using electronic health records system according to required timelines. Will assist the CK-CAC child and family advocate in assessing the mental health needs of both caregivers and clients during the investigative process including the forensic interview and medical evaluation. Be actively present at CK-CAC during case review for sharing relevant information regarding client treatment and additional needs while the case is still an open investigation; and more.

Job Opening: Case Manager

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Degree in Education or Human Services. Training and experience in supervision and managing employees. Successful work experience with troubled children and families preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft office and basic computer skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community of professionals. Knowledge of the child welfare field is preferred. Must have time-management and organizational skills. Demonstrate skills in problem-solving.

Physical health must meet all standards as established by the Department of Human Resources or other local agencies governing childcare. QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in any Human Services field. Certified MAPP-GPS trainer. Must be familiar with current clinical research and practice. Three years experience working with emotionally and behaviorally disturbed youths and their families. Some prior experience with promotional work preferred.

Job Opening: Solomon Assessment Center Overnight Awake Staff

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Minimum - high school diploma. Successful work experience with trouble children and families preferred.

Must have a complete physical by a doctor prior to reporting to work. Physical health must meet all standards as established by the Department of Human Resources or other local agencies governing childcare. Medical examination shall include tests necessary to determine that the individual does not have any communicable disease or condition that poses significant risk of transmission in the facility. Must be able to successfully complete and pass all three sections of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training (TCI).

Non-exempt, hourly, full-time scheduled to meet the needs of the position and B&GH. This position can work anywhere from 30 - 40 hours per week. Schedule determined by supervisor. Valid North Carolina drivers license and insurable by B&GH carrier.

  • Responsible for monitoring during the overnight hours eight to ten (8-10) trouble youths referred by juvenile courts, phychiatric hospitals, social workers and private parents.
  • Responsible for administrative functions associated with operation of the facility.
  • Work schedule involves overnight hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-service training workshop and physical restraint training.
  • Work environment can be high pressure, high stress. Position may experience verbal and/or physical aggression from client population.
  • Must be able to monitor clients continuously and independently in a multi-level facility.
  • Must be flexible and cooperative in work scheduling. Must be able to respond to occasional emergency coverage needs.
  • Technical writing skills required.
  • Moderate to high potential for exposure to infectious diseases.
  • Responsible for treatment program, clients, property and administrative aspects of facility.
  • Implement and document youth progress toward achievement of treatment plan.
  • Maintain property in a clean, safe and attractive manner. Comply with all guidelines for property maintenance and management. Maintain laundry by washing, folding and putting away towels, etc.
  • Assist with the maintenance of case records in accordance with licensure and agency expectations. Assist with routine progress reports.
  • Model appropriate moral, ethical and professional values for youths, colleagues and community-at-large. Abide by the Standards of Ethical Conduct of Children and Family Services Association - North Carolina.
