Jaycees

The Jaycees built their cottage at a cost of $57,000, hosting a dedication ceremony in 1962. Plans are under way for a 50th anniversary celebration in 2012. Through the years, the Jaycees have invited the girls in their cottage to help with their Haunted House and other events throughout the state. They’ve also provided on-campus activities and hosted the girls to their annual statewide Christmas party at the Jaycee Headquarters in Asheboro.

Who are the NC Jaycees?
With headquarters in Asheboro, the North Carolina Junior Chamber (Jaycees) gives young people between the ages of 21 and 41 the tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community service and international connections

Jaycee Creed
We believe:
That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;
That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;
That economic justice can best be won by free man through free enterprise;
That government should be of laws rather than of men;
That earth’s great treasure lies in human personality; and
That service to humanity is the best work of life.
