CAC Child and Family Advocate


Education: Must have a Bachelor's Degree through an accredited program in social work (BSW) or in a related human services field. A minimum of 3 years of experience working with mental health, abused and neglected children, or related experience within social work and victim advocacy. Working with victims of trauma and victim advocacy experience preferred.

PARTIAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Crisis assessment and intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning and support for children and family members at all stages of involvement with CK-CAC. Abilityto work and make decisions independently. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Advance technical writing skills required. Working together with community partners and different service providers. Completion of all required documentation using electronic records system according to required timelines. Be actively present at CK-CAC during case review for sharing relevant information regarding client treatment and follow up needs throughout the life of the case.
