Responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in fulfilling the healthcare/medical/nutritional needs of children and youth residing on the Lake Waccamaw Residential Campus.

Monitoring of all medications given to residents on campus, needs of children and youth in the residential setting, supervising the medical team, coordinating the on-call schedule with medical staff, review the monitoring of medications prescribed to residents. Work closely with the medical and residential staff to ensure the health and safety of residents and ensure follow through with consults along with monitoring staff documentation of medical records. Responsible to provide on-call support. Provide all necessary healthcare training according to the agency's service manual and state requirements. Ensures a safe and nurturing residential life environment through monitoring and modeling in order to achieve positive personal growth and development in clients.


LPN License from an accredited college/university and approved by the NC Board of Nursing. Passing score on the NCLEX-PN. Maintain an unencumbered license. Preferably, at least five (5) years of LPN experience. AHA, BLS, CPR, and First Aid certified or obtained upon hire with Agency.

Knowledge of psychology, human behavior and pharmacology. Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching and training. Ability to plan, organize, and maintain an effective medical department. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Valid driver's license in state of residence.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a residential treatment facility. Schedule may includes weekends, nights and/or holidays.

Full time, exempt position.
