GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position provides a wide variety of support to plant maintenance, grounds and automotive efforts of B&GH. This includes light repairs, maintenance and upkeep on indoor/outdoor facilities (painting, patching, plumbing, electric, HVAC), grounds, and automobiles.  Required to provide furniture and office moving support as needed. Operates small and large equipment and/or vehicles to support B&GH operations.  Expecting to be organized and have good time management skills as well as with strong general repair skills. 

Work responsibilities are performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Also driving in all weather conditions for extended periods.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS: 

  1. Regularly perform maintenance jobs and light repairs

  2. Regularly perform various landscaping tasks

  3. Regularly perform light Automotive tasks

  4. Fill gaps and provide painting prep and painting services

  5. Repair equipment and various machines and appliances

  6. Regularly moves household and office furniture

  7. Obtain and maintain CDL and provide transportation support to include driving a school bus as needed

  8. Identify, document and report maintenance and repair work 

  9. Suggest additional repairs when identified and needed

  10. Perform other duties as requested

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or GED preferred

  2. Commercial Driver License complete or eligible

  3. Experience with painting, plumbing and electrical systems required

  4. Experience with common hand and power tools

  5. Familiarity lawn equipment, golf carts and tractors

  6. Experience with light maintenance on automobiles

  7. Ability to communicate well with property management and maintenance staff

  8. Willingness to uphold company standards for safety and efficiency


Valid driver's license required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to those who can perform the essential duties of the job. The incumbent must be able to pass any required drug test.  Background investigation required.


MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT:

Multi-line telephone, computer, printer, copier, vehicle, vehicle lift, welding equipment, automotive shop tools, wood shop tools, light power tools, automobiles, farm equipment, lawn mowers and other equipment as trained and requested.

EFFORT:

Must be able to read, see, hear, and speak. Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping climbing ladders and stairs. Will be required to lift items to 50lbs and work with hazardous materials. Constant handling and manual dexterity.
