Black's Tire 2021 Charity Golf Tournament raises $201,021 for B&GH

March 23, 2021

The 2021 Black’s Tire Service Boys & Girls Homes Charity Golf Tournament continued a 21-year tradition of supporting the nonprofit by raising $201,021.

The tournament has raised more than $1.5 million overall to serve the children and families who receive services from B&GH.

“Black’s Tire Service is our largest corporate partner and is led by the Benton family, whose passion for and commitment to the children and youth we serve is nothing short of love in action,” said B&GH President/CEO Ricky Creech. “Mr. Crowell Black, the founder of Black’s Tire, was on the original B&GH Board and helped get the Homes started in the 1950s.”

Creech went on to thank Rick and Diane Benton, their sons Ricky Jr., Ryan and Jeremy, the entire Black’s Tire Service staff team for their tireless efforts to help these children. BTS works all year at each location to help raise these needed funds. One hundred percent of the monies from the event goes to support B&GH.

“We are so proud of our Black’s Tire families and customers,” said BTS owner Ricky Benton. “2020 was tough in a lot of ways and really affected fundraising needed for the Homes. As a non-profit, they depend on donations. We are blessed to be able to put something like this together. Thanks to all the Black’s Tire customers. You help us make a difference in these children’s lives. Today we had over 220 golfers and many businesses join in to help us. Our team also works hard all year long to raise additional funds. It all starts over this week with our new fundraising effort. The work is never done as these children and situations need our support. Thanks again and God bless everyone that had a part in giving back.”
